WHAT DO WE HOPE TO ACHIEVE?

The involvement of smallholders in the export horticulture trade requires a pioneering approach, which will differ from one location to another. We cannot therefore provide a 'one size fits all' guide. Instead, we have provided what is considered to be good practice when dealing with smallholders. As this is a dynamic and evolving sector, what is considered to be good practice will change, and this guide should, therefore, be used as 'work in progress'.
