HOW TO USE THIS GUIDE

We have made the guide as practical as possible. It draws on lessons learnt by the export horticulture industry from working with smallholders. The guide is laid out in a clear and concise format following a logical sequence. Each of the essential components for linking smallholders successfully to export markets is outlined.

The information in the guide can be used either to evaluate existing arrangements with smallholders or to identify appropriate technology, policy and/or management options to improve the way in which smallholders are involved in export horticulture operations.
